A fantastic achievement today for our U-11’s Handball teams. Both teams came in the top two of their group and then had a very difficult play off. Unfortunately one team was knocked out after a gruelling match while the other team were victorious and go ahead to the finals next week. It was a great day and vital experience was learned for the future. 💙💙💙
Ms. McLaughlin’s Class were discussing volancos while reading about Pompeii.
Our U-10 boys won the Community Games Cups. They won Galway, then victoriously on to Connacht, and even further to outright win the All - Ireland!!! They now have the three cups in their possession!! Huge Congrats to the boys and their trainer 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. We also would like to acknowledge the other boys who trained just as hard and supported their team mates but missed out on the tournament because they were over age. Well done to everyone!!! Oranmore Maree have a bright future ahead of them 💙💙💙💙
The boys have really enjoyed learning all about Tom Crean in history. They even attempted to make replicas of the James Caird which Tom sailed on to try and rescue his fellow shipmates who were stricken on Elephant Island! They then tested to see would their lifeboats float in the sink!
We really enjoyed our rocket building workshop yesterday! The First Class Boys constructed their own rockets and every single one was launched successfully! We could easily have some future space engineers in our class.

The boys had great fun working together to design and make rockets. They even got to launch them outside! Great teamwork was on display and the boys had a 'blast'!!
