On Wednesday, 2nd class had a visit from Will in SEAI. They learned all about saving energy, and renewable and non-renewable types of energy. They also had an opportunity to put their learning into practice with an interactive and fun quiz game at the end of the workshop. Thanks to Will for the wonderful workshop! 😀
We were delighted to get a visit from Padraic Creedon from the Explorer's Education Programme in third and fourth class. He taught us about marine plants and animals. We were really interested in the ray and shark eggs that he brought in for us to see. We will be searching for these on Irish beaches from now on. We are looking forward to the second part of the workshop which takes place in the aquarium in a few weeks.
The Junior Entrepreneur Programme was great fun and a fantastic experience. My group NJLS were working on selling reusable water bottles. The NJLS stands for Niall, Jack, Liam and Sean. We luckily got through to the second round and presented our project infront of Niall McGarry, Ms.Meenaghan and Mr. Gleeson. Sadly we did not win out of the six, but we were extremely proud of what we did! By Liam

We are continuing with our bridges theme and the children have been really busy making their own creations at home. Here are a few examples of what they have made. I've been blown away by their creativity and commitment to these projects.

We are delighted that Whizz Kids are back to our 4th class! A lot of us are use to using touch screen devices and find it difficult to use the touch pad on the laptops. We are improving our dexterity while learning to program too!!
4th Class were getting ready for Grandparents Day by doing some art to decorate the classroom and school.
