The Galway Clinic today. The boys in 3rd - 6th sang and played in the Clinic today for patients, parents and visitors. Thanks to Mrs. McDonagh and Mrs. O’Connell for all their preparation and organising and to all the boys and teachers for their efforts in the day going off so smoothly.
For the month of November, Ms McKeon's class teamed up with Ms O'Connell's class for the love of reading. On a daily basis the boys got together where they read and discussed a variety of books. Third and fourth class really enjoyed reading to their buddies and sixth class loved their mentoring roles. Not only did they take pleasure from the reading, the also made a friend along the way.
The boys of fifth class are currently taking part in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme which is a nationwide initiative that allows children the opportunity to develop their own business. In class today we had a Dragons Den style event where Ms. Meeneghan, Mr. Gleeson and special guest Mr. Niall McGarry, founder of Joe.ie, put the boys through their paces. Six groups presented their products with the winners being Dara Murray and Conor Costello for their company Teee Bags. Well done to all the boys who have taken part so far!
