Today we celebrated World Down Syndrome Day. To raise awareness of World Down Syndrome Day, we had an Odd Sock Day!
Both 5th classes enjoyed a trip to Traught beach in Kinvara this morning. We are exploring the theme of connecting and caring for our environment in school and a beach trip was a perfect way to support our learning. We were very lucky with the weather and the rain held off until just as we were about to return to Oranmore. The boys identified the different creatures and sea life on the beach, observed a variety of rocks and shells and even dipped their toes into the water. Lots of learning and fun was had today!

It's so rare we get snow we decided to make the most of it, but it was mostly ice! The boys did well making their Ice Men. There was great teamwork going on and the boys enjoyed themselves.
Congratulations to our 6th Class pupils who received the Sacrament of Confirmation yesterday.
Lots of fun and learning in Classroom 5. Pancake Day, critical discussions on picture books, World Book Day and snow fun 😀
