Scoil Iosaif Naofa has been awarded the Discover Primary Science and Maths Plaque of STEM Excellence for 2019. To achieve this award the pupils excelled with their skills and knowledge in the areas of science, technology, engineering and maths.
Last Friday we had our Junior Entrepreneur Showcase Day. It was a very successful day and the 5th class boys got to show all the wonderful work they have put in the last few months. The boys who ordered a TEEE Bag collected them on the day. The Junior Entrepreneur Flag was also raised at the end of the day.
Congratulations to James Costello who defeated his brother Conor in the final of the 5th class Christmas Draughts Competition. This knock out competition saw all 30 boys compete for the top prize. After a few tough qualifying rounds the Costelllo twins made their way to the final which was a tense affair. In the end James prevailed using a very clever move to fianlly see off Conor. Well done boys!

May is the month when we think of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Fifth class have been working on beautiful art work.

The 5th class boys had a very enjoyable quiz for Seachtain na Gaeilge. The questions were in Irish and there was a Dingbat round, a 'Name the Person' round and a music round. Well done to the winning team of Sean, Stephen, Johnathan and Jack
Well done to the quiz team of Cormac, Eoin, Fiachra and Brian who came second in the St. Columba's Credit Union Quiz Competition. The boys performed superbly and answered some very difficult questions.
